Dark Awakening and its answers...

I come in from work, change in to my sweats and then take the time to get on line and when I do i nearly barf.
Well okay I feel like barfing any how, but that seems to be due to this what ever it is i can't get over. Reading that its a possiblity that our friends have had thier life forces sucked out to power some kind of army makes it even worse.
As i sit there and read, and wonder how they could have survived what happened to them, some lil niggling in the back of my mind keeps bothering me but i cant seem to work my mind around it.
Strangely enough its one of my guests that makes the connection that either i didnt want to make.. or my mind just wouldnt let me make.

I'm tapping away on my lap top when Rah's Shows his face for the first time around me since i told him off several weeks ago and points somethign out.

"Alive but with no volition?" He leans down and takes a closer look, "It sounds like what happened to your lover at the hands of the Quintessons."

I want to slap him for that crack, I really do. I am just this shy of doing it when i realize something. I realize hes right.

He's exactly right.

And so I go do something that I almost never do... I go pull out my copy of the episode that tells the story of what happened in the "Dark Awakening" and watch it. And again Realize that Quigon's look alike has a point.

What all of this means is this, the Quintessons have a way to keep bodies that have lost thier vital life force alive. Even to the point where they can at least LOOK like they have some kind of personality. Or they can leave them as mindless bodies that are technically alive but are with out a mind, a personality.

Which leads me back to one more conclusion, our friends, the ones that have had this abomination done to them. They were left for us to find on purpose. They were a warning.
basically someone out there, be they Palpatine or someone else is trying to send us a message. Something that can be summed up like. "If you dont back down and let us have our way this is going to happen to you too."

So they get two things... They get an army of war bots powered by the souls of some of our most powerful members and they get to basically give us the finger while they are at it.

I pull my self up from where i feel like im glued to the floor and head out to Find Orion and tell him. I finally come across him in the living room as well several of the others who are discussing what has been on the blog so far. Almost all of them stop and stare at me.. liek they all know that I have something to say.

"Rose?" Orion stands up and holds out his arms to me.

"They..." And then I just cant, i bury my self in his arms and let Rah's tell them what conclusions that have been found.
Half an hour later im up in my room just kind of sitting on my bed reading when Orion finally comes to see me.
"are you okay?"
I look up at him," No, but i will be."
"I am sorry it took that for us to make the connection."
I sigh, "Could have been worse, Roddy could have had to do it."
I set my book down," So now what? this means the Qutins have their tentecals in to it, what else?"
"Some how that dosent shock me. after all if Palpatine does come back in a mechaical body he need someone to build it."
I sigh and flop back still feeling sick. "Great, just great."
"And your still not feeling well either."
"its just a cold."
"Rose, its not just a cold,"He glares down at me.
"I know,"I sigh,"My system is run down from everything thats happened, what am i supposed to do about it?"
"Well for one thing, since tomorrow is your day off, you can keep your butt in bed."
"Uh huh, I am not gonna sit in bed while we are gearing up for a war."
"Just takeit easy tomorrow okay?" He finally sat down next to me. "And try to get some rest?"
"How many times do we have to have this conversation?"I groan.
"As many times as it takes to get you to do what ratchet keeps telling you."
I sigh and finally give in.
"If you leave me alone and let me sleep and keep all the other wierdos in line, I'll TRY to not over do it tomorrow okay?"
"Good," He bends down and gives me a kiss.

I sigh and settle back.
So we know another bit to what is going on.. they left them alive on purpose.
I just havev one thing to say to the monsters out there, You dont scare us. And you cannot make us stop. Hurting people like this doesnt make you big or more powerful. It just shows what evil creeps you are.
We wont give up, we wont stop fighting you. And there is nothing you can do to make us back down.
