Cold Kiss

I knew who was going to be on the other end of the phone when it rang.. Still I had to answer it.
I just didn't know what was going to get dumped on me the second she started talking.

"Wait," I tried, "Would you just wait!!"

On the other end of the line My sister conintued to sqwak at me like a comp with a bad sound system.

"your where?" I got out, "Your in a shelter? They kicked you out? Well what do you want me to do about it!!?"

I listened to her continue yelling as several of the people here gathered around me.

"No I can't, I dont have it." I paused and she made her threat, "What? My fualt!"

Now I had a good crowd going and I wanted to toss the phone against the wall.
"Okay look, Let me give you to mom, Maybe she can do something."

I finally handed the thing over to my Mother and then floped back against the wall.

"I cant handel this, I cant handle that girl calling me and demanding I solve her problems!"
"Why dose she think you should?" I looked up and noticed Anakin was one of the ones that had heard me having the conversation.
"BECAUSE i always Have." I shook my head, " I just can't do it this time."

I got the distinct impression that he had something to say about that but as rude as it was i didnt stay around to hear what every one else had to say.
I was still feeling pretty exhausted from everything that had gone on, my sister's newest ultimatum included and so I went to take a nap.
I dont know how long i was asleep but I woke up when I felt something. What it felt like was Orion kissing me.
I Knew it couldnt be that so for a second I thought it was dream and just enjoyed it. that was when I noticed something else, something that told me that this was wrong.
Whoever it was that was kissing me, was ice cold. My eyes snapped open and I realized that the person leaning over me Was NOT Orion. It was Nemesis.
I Screamed against him and struggeled until he finally moved away from me.
"Dont," He told me. " No matter what you do they cannot get in here now. The door is bolted."
"What the hell do you want?" I demanded.
"I want to show you something."
"Get out of my ...."
He proceeded to grab hold of me by the arms and spining me around to face something. What it was I have no real idea, but what it looked like was a huge guilt framed mirror with a latin inscription near the top.
"This was given to my Master by Someone he is familar with on this world. It shows you what you want more than anythinb else, what your deepest desier is. Take a good long look princess."
Held me there long enough to make sure that there was no mistaking that I must have seen something.
"What did you see Princess?"
I kept my mouth shut and refused to answer him.
"Fine then I'll tell you. You saw the one thing in the world that you want most. Not you Precious Orion, not even something like and end to the war. NO what you saw in that glass, was peace, for you. From everything that goes on in your life."
"SHUT UP!!"
"you know I'm Right Princess."
I Kept trying to get away from him but I could hear the tears in my own voice.
"Just stop, Please!"
He turned me around to face him now.
"You know I can give you the power to achive that peace Rose. No more pain, No more suffering. Just peace."
I looked up at him, his face so much like orion's.
"You just dont get it do you?" I told him, "The kind of peace your offering me isn't peace, it's just death. I Want pace that I'll be alive to enjoy, not the end of the universe!"
I took a deep breath so that I could somehow keep going.
"Real Peace can't ever come from something like that. Orion understands that, that real peace can only come from liveing and finding a way to move beyond all that anger. Yes I do want to not be responsible for my Sister, but I dont want her dead.
That's why I love Orion, because he understands that." I Narrowed my eyes at him, "and thats why i could never and will never love you."
Black Souless eyes narrowed and he shifted his grip on me to one hand.
"you Stupid , stupid girl. I convinced my master to give you this one last chance to join us and not follow Prime to his death. But if thats what you want so bad then So Be it!"
He was going to kill me and was so intent on it that I doubt he heard the door below being broken down. I know that he was more focused on me than anything so im guessing when he realized we had company it came as a shock.

"TAKE. YOUR. HANDS. OFF. OF. HER!!"
I looked behind him and for the first time in what felt like forever I felt my heart leap.
There were five people there holding Nemesis at either sword or gun point. The main one, the one that had just growled out the command was Orion. Nemesis dropped me and turned to glare at Orion.
"She's not the innocent you think she is."
"Do you think I care?" Orion snapped back, "I love every part of her Light and dark. Now get out of this house, because even if I cant kill you. I can make you WISH you were dead."
"THIS isnt over."
"No," Orion Agreed. "Its just starting."

The monster vanished and a few seconds later I was in the process of wrapping my self back around the man I loved.
"Im sorry." I told him.
"What for?" He looked down at me, "None of this was YOUR Fualt. NONE of it."
I relaxed for a second and then realized that i had a whole heard of ticked off resistance members glareing at me.
"The next time you go ANY WHERE with out your body guards," Roddy snarled, "Im putting you under protective custody and tossing your rear end into the brig on the ark!!"
"I'm Helping him." Anakin agreed.
"That m akes three of us," Vector commented.
"Agree with him i do," Yoda pointed to roddy,"Follows you trouble does."


So now Orion is back in action. Hes back and i had to face my own darkness. Yes i will admit that there have been times when i just wanted my sister to leave me alone, for my family to be normal.
But what i saw in the mirror, was nothing. It looked like an ordinary mirror to me. That is because I already have what I want most in the world.

Still there is the fact that I denined Nemesis, yet again. He's Not going to ignore that. Get ready folks.
Its going to escalate from here on in.
